Phillip Martin

"How often is one lucky enough to recognize the signs of a unique, soulful musician on the verge of a long and promising creative cycle?

Ladies and gentlemen, meet Phillip “Doc” Martin; preferably known as “Doc Martin”, a rising saxophone stylist who’s heartfelt, humble melodies are wooing live audiences on stages across the country. And if Martin has his way, music fans all over the world will soon consider themselves just as fortunate.

Doc Martin’s latest CD, Pride and Joy, features 11 new songs that just don’t passively fit the traditional smooth, instrumental or funky rhythm genres. His tunes flex, bounce and bend offering audiophiles a “new sax” diagnosis. Martin plays his horn with a warm and clear tone supplemented by a chronic range that takes you on a soulful and energetic journey with the likes of classical soul crooner like Donny Hathaway, Gerald Levert and James Brown."

Eric Darius

Eric Darius

"From playing at local clubs and hotspots in his native Tampa to wowing the crowds at the JazzTrax Catalina Island Jazz Festival, life for this 24-year old college student has changed dramatically in just a few years. Yet, Darius' approach to his music remains as sincere as the day he first discovered jazz as a child. "I'd been playing the saxophone for about one year, before I joined America's Youngest Jazz Band, which was led by renown trumpeter, Sonny LaRosa. The unique band brought in musicians from ages 5-12, and I was fortunate enough to be part of it for two years."

Listening to music around the house, Darius had always had a passion for jazz, and being in this elite group changed his life. "We played a lot of great music from jazz legends, such as Duke Ellington and Count Basie. In addition to this, we had the wonderful opportunity to perform all over thecountry, and even at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. After having the privilege to perform all over the world and realizing the impact that it made on people's lives, I knew then that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life."'

"Contemporary jazz artist, saxophonist, and vocalist Walter Beasley has sold hundreds of thousands of albums and has been mentoring music students as a Berklee College of Music professor for more than 20 years. He is sometimes referred to as the heir to Grover Washingtons throne, and with good reason." Since 1998, Beasley has been one of the top five best-selling African-American saxophonists in the world. As a result, his works as a saxophonist and singer, a unique combination by any measure, are unmatched in sales and airplay.  He is known as an accomplished performer/writer and an icon of contemporary jazz, having  performed with the best in the business including Brian McKnight, Gerald Albright, George Howard, Art Porter, Stephanie Mills, Vanessa Williams and Rachelle Ferrell, and has opened for greats Art Blakey and Dexter Gordon. "

"Over the last three decades, Beasley has been a regular presence in the top 20 of Billboards contemporary jazz charts, and he recently peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Charts with his album For Her (Heads Up), which soulfully chronicles the bittersweet landscape of love and romance."
